| Draft and sew an a-line or pencil skirt |
| Two 3 hour classes - |
| Practice the basics of sewing and make your own simple pattern to fit your measurements! Bring preshrunk woven cotton fabric to the first class. We begin with a few basic measurements and pattern drafting math then draft a custom skirt pattern! After completing the pattern you will finish class by cutting out your project. Class two begins with installing an invisible zipper and waist facing and finishes with hemming your new skirt! Learn a hand hemming stitch and introduce yourself to blind hemming on the sewing machine. This project based short class will teach you to make a basic pattern and garment that you will recreate again and again. |

| Please arrive to class with your fabric pre-shrunk! It is important to pre-shrink your fabric FIRST so your project will maintain it's size after laundering. The rule of thumb is to pretreat the fabric in the fashion you would launder the garment. EX: dry clean silk for a dress you intend to dry clean | |
