Learn tips and tricks, and techniques for success with four-way stretch knits, interlock knits, jersey, rib knits, single knits, stretch knits, stretch velour, sweater knits, T-shirt knits, tricot, two-way stretch knits, or fleece knit in this hands-on class!

Covered material includes properly cutting knits, reinforcing with elastic or interfacing, and sewing knits on a home machine using straight stitches, zig zags and specialty overlock and stretch stitches, as well as using a serger.

This class will teach you what you need to know to improve your skills and give you a leg up when you're picking out projects at the fabric store. We will have examples of various knits on hand to practice techniques on multiple home sewing machines.
In this class you will learn about:
* needle selection
* thread choice
* stitch length
* stretching for a straight stitch
* zig-zag
* specialty stitches for knits
* overlocking with a serger
This class is intended for those who have taken Machine Basics and know
how to thread a machine and bobbin, sew straight lines, back stitch and zigzag.
Group Sessions by appointment
for 3 to 9 people.
All materials for this class are included in the tuition, you will leave with a series of sewn samples and reference handouts.
