The goal of this class is to help you understand the information on the pattern envelope, pick the correct pattern in the proper size, select fabric and notions with confidence, and achieve success in sewing with commercial patterns.

Sewing pattern instructions presume that you have a comprehensive sewing vocabulary, communicating the steps in an "odd minimalist poem" .

In this class learn pattern terminology and what the information on and in the pattern envelope means- such as measurements and sizing, fabric suggestions and requirements, notions, fabric layout and a review of pattern markings and directions. This class is intended for those who have not sewn with a patterns purchased from a fabric store and will enable you to achieve greater success in early sewing projects by avoiding many common mistakes.
