Sewing Studio FAQ:

How does the Sewing Studio work?

PDX Seamsters shares a workspace with custom sewing and costume design professional Emily Horton of M-Horton Custom Sewing. Emily, as well as the PDX Seamster's staff are on hand to help you achieve your sewing goals. Beginning, intermediate and advanced classes are short classes focusing on learning sewing skills in a fun and faced paced group environment. Project based classes take techniques learned in skills classes and applies them in sewn projects. Courses are multi-week classes that cover material with a more in depth exploration. Private lessons are a great resource for intensive study, project help or special projects. We will teach you to sew nearly anything you would like and encourage you to gather a friend or two and learn to sew!

When you bring your own machine we may ask you to sew on one of ours and we’ll let you know if we think your machine needs to be cleaned and / or serviced.
